The King's Nightmare

The king woke up from a nightmare. 

The nightmare was so terrifying that the king had sweat all over his body. But he cannot recall what happened in that dream.

He tried to call the queen's name, only to find the queen had passed away three years ago. A terrible disease had taken her. The king insisted on placing the queen's tomb in the small courtyard behind his palace so that he could visit her, every late afternoon, before dinner. Every day he would take a blue orchid, her favorite flower, to her tomb, and talk to the queen for about ten minutes. This routine has been going on since the tomb was built, the king had not missed even a single day, but today, he could hardly recall whether he had been to the queen's tomb.

The king summoned his personal valet and asked him how the queen died three years ago.

" It was pneumonia, my lord, that damn disease had taken my beloved queen." The valet answered.

Oh, it was pneumonia, how come didn't I remember? The king wondered.
